OUR VISION

(Our Vision defines where we are going as a Church. Put another way, it’s our preferred future!)

1. To reach out in love with the gospel to the lost in our community and the nations of the world (Phil 2:15:16)
2. To make disciples of those who believe in Jesus Christ, helping them to love God and live out the great commission (Matt 22:37; 28:19-20)
3. To equip every disciple for effective ministry for the Lord (2 Tim3:16-17, Heb 13:20-21, Eph 4:10-13)
4. To train leaders and release them to oversee various ministry teams (2Tim 2:1-2)
5. To impact our community and the nations with the truths in God’s Word (Mat 5:14-15)
6. To reflect all the biblical pictures of the Church (Eph 3:10 -11,Eph 3:21)
7. To be a New Testament church in doctrine, practice and structure (1Cor 3:10-12)
8. To be a growing ‘base church’, continually sending teams to serve other Churches, locally and into the nations.
9. To send out trained and equipped elders, to plant (start) new churches where there is a need.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

1. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, in their original writing as fully inspired by God, and we accept them as the final authority for faith and life.
2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons – God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and is true God and true Man.
4. We believe that God created man in His image; that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of death (both physical and spiritual); and that all human beings inherit a sinful nature. We believe that all who repent of their sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a sacrifice, according to the Scriptures, and that all who believe and trust in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.
6. We believe that all Christians are called to a life of holiness and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ, and service to Him.
7. We believe in the resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal judgement from God on those who have rejected the offer of salvation.
8. We believe that the whole company of those who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, have been redeemed by Him and regenerated by the Holy Spirit, from the one true Church and that the local Church on earth should take its character from this concept. Therefore the new birth and personal confession of faith in Christ are essentials of Church membership.
9. We believe in the priesthood of all believers that all are directed by the Holy Spirit and can be used by Him in signs, wonders and miracles.
10. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s Table.
11. We believe that the ascended Christ has given various Ministries or Ministers to the Church in order to bring all believers to the place of Christian maturity in understanding of truth, and the performance and function of the Ministry.
